Biological Honor Society & Biology Club
Psi Mu Chapter
History Tri-Beta was founded in 1922 at Oklahoma City University by Dr. Frank G. Brooks and a group of his students. The idea of an honor and professional society for biology students spread rapidly and by 1925, the society was a national convention. In 1930, the society journal, BIOS, began publication of student research, articles of interest to biologists, and society news. As the society grew it divided into regional and district groups. Awards are given for outstanding individual and chapter accomplishment.

Why join?
Are you interested in biology? The Tri-Beta Biology Club is for majors of biology, people with a significant interest in biology, or those of you who simply want to join and be involved in volunteer opportunities and gain further experience in various biology areas. Each meeting we feature a new speaker, which we select with the intention of teaching you about a career you are interested in, introducing you to a new career field, or learning about a relevant topic of scientific interest.
