ACHIEVEMENTS AND AWARDS

Metabolism Foundation has been collaborating with the University of Central Oklahoma (UCO) and the USDA-ARS Grazinglands Research Laboratory in order to establish specific research agreements with these two organizations. During this time, several honorariums have been awarded by Metabolism Foundation to young scientists involved in specific research projects. It is anticipated that research agreements with UCO and the USDA will enable acquisition of funds for employment of scientists, implementation of larger scale research projects, and publication of this work. The purpose of awards from Metabolism Foundation is to support and encourage scientists involved in metabolism research. Support may come directly in the form of an award from the foundation or in the form of funds used to support awards from other organizations that recognize metabolism-related research. Allocation of funds in either case is at the discretion of, and must be approved by, the Executive Director of Metabolism Foundation.

Metabolism Foundation does not plan to recognize scientists through monetary compensation at this time. It is the intent of Metabolism Foundation to encourage scientists through public recognition rather than through monetary compensation. If funds become available, however, Metabolism Foundation may recognize scientists through scholarships or fellowships that can improve the future performance of the recipient.
